I can’t stress enough how much I love a Leica camera. I bought the Leica Q in 2018 and it’s brought an enjoyment to photography that I didn’t have with other camera brands. The Q is excellent for street photography, but unfortunately not great for video. Granted that I started a YouTube channel last year, I wanted a camera that could properly handle video.
I recently bought a Leica SL2-S, but before purchasing, I couldn’t find any unboxings of the bundle, only the camera body or the lens, separately.
It could be one of two things: 1. People who bought the bundle don’t have a YouTube channel. 2. People who have a YouTube channel are just out here paying full price for things. I remember when I unboxed my Leica Q, the experience was so wonderful. As a designer, I really appreciate the detail that went into the packaging and that’s what I expect from this. With that said, enjoy the unboxing!
I cannot wait to use this camera. I’m looking to use it for both photo and video. Given my experience with the Leica Q, I have full confidence this camera will deliver on everything I need it to.
The bundle does only come with the basics, so there are still a few things that I will likely purchase to add to it. The first would be a different strap. It comes with a nylon strap, but I do prefer the look of a leather strap from Leica. I haven’t shot much video in the past, but I imagine that one battery won’t be enough for what I need. I’ll also want UV filter to protect the lens. It’s ALWAYS cheaper to buy a replacement filter than to buy a new lens.
