About Me
I’m Tirso and I’m an NYC-based creative director. I launched this blog in January 2021 as a resource for designers or anyone who has an interest in it.
I’ve worked across all of the top magazine publishers Condé Nast, Hearst, Time Inc., and Meredith. Included in the 25+ magazines I’ve designed for are Teen Vogue, WIRED, Travel + Leisure, and WWD (to name a few). Currently, I am the Vice President of Creative at Fairchild Media Group. I’ve learned from the best in the business and want to share my knowledge with you.
Outside of Design
Hands down, tennis is the biggest part of my life, outside of design. You’ll find me at the Central Park tennis courts most mornings, if not every morning in the summer. It doesn’t matter how my day goes. If I play tennis that day, it’s such a great day.
I consider myself an equal opportunity foodie. Prix fixe menus, dumplings in Chinatown, Popeye’s fried chicken? I’m your guy! As much as I enjoy eating out, I can also throw down in the kitchen. I sometimes feel like I’m moonlighting as an Asian grandma.
