There is a stereotype of “growing up asian” in America and my experience lived up to that stereotype. Dealing with family pressure was the toughest thing for me growing up. My parents had high, sometimes unachievable standards, and I had to meet those expectations.
For Asian Pacific American Heritage month, I thought it would be great to share part of my story. This was a rather sensitive topic for me, but I want you to know that it’s ok to be vulnerable.
